Empowering North Dakota Agriculture Through Innovative Research, Policy Analysis, and Lasting Impact
The Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies is led by Director Sandro Steinbach, who guides its strategic vision, research agenda, and daily operations, with support from Assistant Director Matt Gammans. The Center brings together a diverse team of faculty affiliates, research economists, data scientists, graduate students, and administrative staff, all dedicated to conducting high-impact research that shapes agricultural policy and trade for North Dakota and the Upper Midwest.
Our collaborative research environment fosters interdisciplinary engagement, integrating diverse expertise to address complex challenges in agricultural policy and trade. The Center is equipped with dedicated office space, serving as a hub for innovation, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. This infrastructure supports cutting-edge research, facilitates program development, and enhances collaboration among scholars, agricultural industry partners, and policymakers.
